OUR CIRCULARITY INITIATIVES

At SHEIKE, we have a responsibility to do better for our community, our people and our planet. We acknowledge this is an ongoing and ever-evolving process with a long journey ahead. We are dedicated to continuously looking for ways to minimise our impact and create positive change.

In 2023, we undertook a thorough packaging audit as an important step in our sustainability journey. Following this, we introduced the use of POLLAST!C™ mailer bags by Better Packaging Co. POLLAST!C™ packaging is made from 100% Ocean Bound Plastic pollution rescued from coastal communities in Southeast Asia. To date, this transition has resulted in an estimated 3.95 tonnes of plastic pollution being rescued and recycled.

More recently, we have partnered with UPPAREL as part of our journey in reducing our impact on textile waste and landfill. UPPAREL is Australia's leading textile recycling company with a commitment to leave a positive impact for the next generation. 100% of recoverable textiles sent to UPPAREL are reused, repurposed or recycled, meaning nothing is sent to landfill. Through this partnership, we have diverted more than 5.6 tonnes of unsaleable textiles from landfill, preventing more than 19.9 tonnes of greenhouse gas emissions as of April 2025.
